Police were called to Commodore Drive just after 8am after a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital in a critical condition but died shortly after arrival.

The Serious Crash Unit attended the scene, and enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.

The road has since reopened.
